On the Trails safari you will be participating in the most "tread-lightly" way to conserve nature; on foot, guided by an excellent Trails guide in a pristine BIG5 private nature reserve. Any active person, that is physically fit for twice-a-day leisurely guided walks for about 3 hours per walk can join. We have selected only the cooler winter months; April-September as the ideal time for this safari and will only take small groups up to 6 guests. The views from our camp are sweeping over the African savanna. Its a dream come true!
What do you get? Interpretive walks and game drives, a basic but comfortable unfenced tented Trails camp, overlooking the African savannah.
We advocate the true meaning of "tread-lightly" so we offer simple ablutions. Most of our -3 times a day- meals are prepared on the fire. You are very welcome to lend a hand and learn how to cook on an open fire. The walking trails will mainly focus on re-awakening your senses, to rely on smell, hearing, eye sight, tracks and intuition in this beautifully diverse and exciting environment. You will learn a whole lot about animals, insects, plants, birds, tracks and even animal-droppings, while having fun. We offer this once-in-a-lifetime adventure during the winter months April till September. Please contact us through the below "Book Now" link or contact "Claudia Schnell Safaris" for more information, dates and rates.
The Trails safari is also available for private groups or families and the camp will be booked out on an exclusive base ensuring complete privacy.
